Red Hot Chili Peppers History
Red Hot Chili Peppers was formed by Fairfax High School alumni Anthony Kiedis, Hillel Slovak, Jack Irons, and Michael "Flea" Balzary in 1983. Originally they named the band Tony Flow and the Miraculously Majestic Masters of Mayhem, but after the success, they fittingly renamed to Red Hot Chili Peppers. Since 1983 many members has come and gone, but for most of Red Hot Chili Peppers existence, the band has consisted of Kiedis, Flea, John Frusciante and Chad Smith. Other members have been a part of the band for some time, most notably Hillel Slovak and Jack Irons. Hillel Slovak died of a drug overdose in 1988. His death led to Jack Irons leaving Red Hot Chili Peppers. Slovak's death was a blow to all the remaining members, and is the most notable single incident in the bands history. Kiedis took his friends death so hard, that he actually didn't show up for the funeral.

They have worked together on songs and lyrics on most of the later albums, except One Hot Minute. The Chili Future
Red Hot Chili Peppers is at the moment in "hiatus". In an interview with Rolling Stones magazine in may 2008 Anthony Kiedis said "the Red Hot Chili Peppers are disbanded for the moment." Following the last leg of the Stadium Arcadium tour, the band members have been on a break. According to Kiedis this is because the members of the band are worn out from the years of non stop musical work. Kiedis is now taking time to be with his son, Frusciante is at the moment focusing on his solo musical career, Flea is in a musical experimental process, and Smith is actually in Japan working with a jazz band. The plans is that Red Hot Chili Peppers will remain in hiatus for at least a year, but Kiedis has stated that he is eager to get started with fresh material with the rest of the band.
Despite Kiedis being eager to get started, Flea enrolled at the USC in the fall of 2008. He has stated that he thinks that Red Hot Chili Peppers will be on a break for two years. Chad Smith has stated in an interview that the band will get together to discuss the future in september 2008. We can only hope Red Hot Chili Peppers decide that they will not be long in hiatus.

It was my concert of life. Red Hot Chili Peppers are probably the first band that I consciously loved and started to get to know. Deepen the discography, biography, etc. That's why this gig, it was the fulfillment of teenage dreams. I agree in principle with everything the author wrote. I will have to duplicate a bit with my comment I left under Iron Maiden, but it's difficult.
As you know, this concert severely hit various web pseudo experts. Only real fans have understood his cult. As you know, RHCP as one of the most popular bands of our time is not only a rock mainstream, but a general mainstream. And everything that is popular and fashionable, attracts random people and - as it was nicely called here - Sunday fans. Many people came who do not listen to rock every day and do not know what a rock concert is. They came because they wanted to listen to a few hits known to them from the radio or that they have on mp3. For many people, the band's story began with "Stadium Arcadium".
I also agree with the author that maybe they should play "UTB" or "GIA", but for a real fan it was a super gig, because instead of playing the obvious best of, RHCP for the first meeting with Poland prepared a set of rarely played numbers, interesting kowerów, cavities and improvisation, that is what the RHCP best in their organic music. "Havana Affair" is a Ramones kower, I do not know if the author knows about it, but he did not mention it. And the concert seemed to be longer than an hour and a half.
The most significant moment for the randomness of the audience was when they started to play "The Power Of Equality" and people around me did not know what it was. And they were sometimes junior high school students and junior high school students with braces on their teeth and in sneakers with pink skulls. Unfortunately, it is so, that on such mass bands as this or Metallica people do not always come, but what to do. If they played something from the 80s, even fewer people would know it. There were also complaints about "contact with the public". Supposedly too small. Because, of course, in Poland you can play an epic concert, but how between the songs a foreign artist does not make up for the Poles, does not say what kind of Poland is beautiful, and the audience is great and does not try to speak Polish, the media consider this concert to be unsuccessful. It's such an idiotic fuss and looking for applause in the West. After all, we should somehow get over to be beyond it. But still the sum of the concert of life;)
